SANITARY MATTERS. The Mayor, Mr Edmund Goodbehere, j does not intend that the Borough of Feilding shall become insanitary if uny efforts on his part can counteract ! the evils which are created by careless or indifferent people, who neglect the most ordinary precautions in that respect. The Inspector of Nuisances has been instructed to pay a visit to every dwollinghouse iv town as authorised by section 75 of the Borough By-laws, by which he is empowered, at all reasonable hours of tho day or uight to enter into, or upon, any building or land within tho Borough for the purpose of effecting tho removal of auy rubbish or offensive matter, and of cleansing, constructing, altering, or repairing cesspools, drains, etc., whon uecossary, at tho expense of the owner or occupier. Wo have every coufidouco thut this courso will do much to preuorvo the public health.
