The match between the Wellington and Maoawutu Unions will probably be played early in September. The Taranaki Union has been communicated with in regard to holding a match with Manawatu at Hawera on the 10 tli inst. Speaking at the banquet given to tho Taranaki reps on their return, Mr Bayley said that Lambie and Cockcroft were ths best forwards in the team. The Manawatu reps will play the Bush Union at Woodville to-morro«r. A match will be played at Palmerston to-morrow between tho Pirates and Awahuri. _________________
