Concert at Campbelltown
Last evening the members of the Feilding Primitive Methodist Church choir gave a concert in the Campbelltown church, and although the weather was unfavorable, the attcnrlnnce was very good. The Rev. Mr Clement presided. The programme was commenced bj all present singing 'All Hail the Power of Jesu's Name.' ' The Lord's Prayer' and 1 Ring the Joy Bells ' was giv en by the choir. Miss A. Gould sang tho solo 1 No Night There, 1 the choir singing the chorus. Misa Kennedy saog ' The Legend of the Crossbill,' playing her own accompaniment. The anthem 'Let the People Praise Thee ' was given by the choir, and Mrs Clement recited 'The Old Man in the Model Church.' Mr Simpson sang the solo part, and Messrs Simpson und Shearer the duet part of ' Hear Me, Jehovah,' the choir singing the chorus. The choir sang ' Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord.' Mrs J. C. Thompson and Mr Simpson sang ' Holy Lord,' and Miss Kennedy gave ' In This I Hope,' which was followed by a reading, 'Things Not Worth Doing,' by Mr Clement. Mrs Thompson sang ' Tired,' and the choir gave ' They that Sow in Tears' and ' Sing to the Lord,' Mr Shearer taking the solo part of the latter. Mrs Clement sang 'He Wipes the Tear,' and the musical part was brought to a close by the choir singing ' Evening Praise.' Refreshments were handed round, nnd the gathering dispersed. Mr W. G. Shearer made an efficient conductor, and Mrs Thompson plnyed the nccompaniments.
