Deputation to the Premier

FPer Press Association.] Wellington, This Day. A deputation, representing the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, waited on the Premier today, with reference to the late conference on the Railway Insurance Bill. " Mr Hoban, President of the Christchurch branch, who was Chief-Spokesman, said the delegates to that conference did not represent the views of the general body of railway employes. He stated that tie attendances at all public meetings held throughout the colony to choose delegates would not total one hundred. He asked that a copy of the Railway Commissioners Amended Insurance Bill and voting paper be sent to eyery railway servant in the colony so that they may be able to express opinion on it. The Premier said personally he thought the request a reasonable one and would lay it before the Bailway Commissioners.
