Weilington mutton is worth 3d per lb, and Canterbury mutton 3»jd perlb. Beef.— Hindquarters are worth sgd per lb, and forequarters 3&d per lb. The lamb market is weak. Prime New Zealand lambs are worth, per carcase, 4}jd per !b. Tallow. — There is little demand. Good beef tallow is worth 27s 9d per cwt, and fine mutton tallow 30s per cwt. Sheepskins have declined a farthing. Tallow.— Medium mutton, 275. The American and Continental wheat markets are declining, and showing signs of weakness, while the English has a downward tendency. Two cargoes of Australian wheat sold at 28s 6d and 29s respectively. Ni!\v Your. July 31. Eight additional bank failures throughout the States nre announced.
