JUNIOR CUP.

The Junior Cup match between Feilding and Hunterville was played on the Oval on Saturday afternoon, in drizzling rain, and ended in a victory for the latter by four points to nil. Hunterville kicked off and immediately got up a rush to Feilding's twenty-five, where A. Parr Btopped it by kicking into touch. From the throw-in Pawson made a good run, but Mines stopped him in time. Mounsey looked like scoring, but A. Farr collared him and the ball went into touch at the corner flag. Mines and Richards were prominent in relieving their side and play was taken to the visitors' 25, when they were forced down. On resuming Feilding were put on the defensive. Half-time was called without any score. In the second spell both sides mndo strong efforts to score, and Hunterville were rewarded by C. McDonnell and Withers scoring tries, neither being converted. Mr S. Strachan acted as referee. The match between the Kia Kahas and Pirates ended in a win for the latter by 4 points (2 tries) to nil. The Junior Cup for this season goes to the Hunterville Club, who have scored 23 points. The Pirates come next with 19 points. There is still one match to play, but the positions cannot be altered.
