(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland. July 29 The Salvation Army Barracks at Newton were opened to-day by Colonel Bailey, who conducted the dedication services. At the quarterly meeting of the Fores* ters of the Auckland District it was resolved to ask the Friendly Societies to strenuously oppose the Railway Insurance Bill. The annual report of the Oddfellows Manchester Unity shows that the society is in a good financial position and that the membership has increased during the year. New Plymouth, This Day. Robert Wallath was to-day committed for trial on two charges of breaking and entering business places, and stealing money aud goods.
