Good Templars

The Hope of Feilding Lodge of Good Templars held their usual weekly meeting lostdiight, when the following officers were elected : — P«u>t Chief, Bro. HuddlcKtonc ; Chiof Templnr, Bro. Daw ; TiccTrmplar, Bro. Fenwick ; Financial Secretary, Bro. Perkins (reelected)} Chnplsin, Sinter Frnaer ; Mnrsbal, Bro. Anderson ; Guard, Bro. Foster; Sentinel, Bro, Bojd ; General Secretary, Bro. Downej (re-elected). Two new members were then initiated. Sisters Chamberlain and Poad next unfurled the new banner, which in a rerjr handsome one. The mn in ground is a while-corded Silk, with the words " Hope of Feilding Lodge, No. 28," worked in a cardinnl arrasene, and a cardinal maltose cross in the centre, with the letter* I O.G.T. also in white arrasene ; the buck ground of the banner in made of cardinal sateen, worked in each corner ; the binding i* of tbc bent otto cord, in cardinal nnd white, and the Us«els and fringe arc of nimilnr colours. Tbe working committee who had the making of the banner were Bros. Perkins and Baker, and Sisters Chamberlain, Poad, and Whisker, who must hare devoted a utent dt*al of time and labor to their handiwork, and are to be congratulated on the splendid result of their effort*. At the conclusion of the butioess, ncnrlj forty members partook of a very acceptable supper. A dialogue, entitled " Bread vtr/su* Beer," was then given by Bros. Fenwick and Perkins, followod by a »ODg from Bro. Anderson. Thanks were given to tbe social committee, consisting of Bros. Anderson, Foster, Kntwisle, and others, and a most success* ful meeting was brought to a close soon after 10 o'clock.
