9 Messrs Abraham and Williams report : At our Palmerston yards yesterday cattle came forward in moderate numbers. Lesf sold briskly* Other sorts of cattle were fairly competed for on a par with recent sales. Almost the whole entry was disposed of. Sheep mustered up numerously, and met with a demand sufficiently active to clear the pens. Cattle— Fat bullocks, from £6 to £7 2s 6il ; fat cows, £5 8a to £5 15s ; a choice fat heifer, £8 ; ditto cow, £6 12s 6d ; forward heifers, £i 15s ; grown steers, £4 4s to £5 7s 6d ; 2-year old heifers, £3 14s to £5 6a. Sheep— Fat wethers, iasßd; forward ditto, 13s Id; breeding ewes, 8s 5d to 12s 9d, according to quality and condition ; shorn hoggets, 7s 7d ; those in wool, 9s 7d,
