Of this, 139,000 bales were sold for export, and the Home trade took 178,000, while 61,000 bales were held over. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. havr received the following cable message from their London friends, Messrs Sandcrson, Murray and Co., regarding the wool sales .-—Sales have closed weak, and 62,000 bales have been held over. Compared with closing rates of last London sales, greasy merino, good to rxtm good, ha« declined 10 ]>er cent ; greasy merino, inferior to medium, and scoured merino have declined o to 7j per cent ; crosibred, inferior to medium, has declined 5 per cent ; and fine cross-breds «lmir a drrto of 71- to 10 Der cent.
