Scene : House of Representatives, Wellington — T. McKenzie speaking. Ist Act — Lady in gallery drops thimble over balustrade ; thimble lands on ledge some 4 feet down. Lady fishes for it with parasol, fur some minutes, is not successful ; but succeeds in attracting attention of members of House — Sends for pnir of tongs, attempts tc grasp thimble Members very curious. One of Ministers suggests lady is trying to grasp thread of MacKenzie's argument. General laughter. MacKenzie can't see point. House resumes.
