Financial Crisis.
THE N.Z. LOAM AND MERCANTILE COMPANY TO BE WOUND UP. (PER PRESS ASBOCIATION). London, July 21. It is likely litigation will be resorted to, to decide whether eighteen hundrod thousand pounds worth of debentures of the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, not converted into debentures stock, will have a first charge on tho uncalled capital, with thirteen hundred thousand of converted debentures. It has been found impossible to frame a scheme of reconstruction until Mr Young has completed his examination of the Company's affairs. Justice Williams granted an order for the compulsory winding up, and expresses the hope that a more detailed statement of assets would be made. The Judge also formally sanctioned the London Chartered Bank's scheme.
