(PBB PBBBB ASSOCIATION,) Sydney July 18. It is estimated there are eight hundred miners unemployed in Newcastle. The New Latnbton colliery shut down yesterday. Melbourne, July 18. Following up a resolution adopted by the Federal Council, Mr Patterson, Premier, as chairman of the Standing Committee, i« urging New South Walee and the other colonies, to join the Council in the proclamation issued removing the embargo on New Zealand sheep and declaring that Colony free from scab. The Governor has giving his assent to the Bill for the conversion of £2,107,Q0C a five per cent, loan which falls due at the end of the year. The interest on the new loan will be four per cent. The manager of the Standard news paper has been sentenced to seven days imprisonment, and ordered to pay a fine of £100 for commenting on the case o; Mr F. Millidge, late manager of the Mercantile Bunk,' while the case was still subjudice. Hob abt, July 18. The search party found the hull of tin ketch -Sarah Ann on Schouter Island. It is believed all the crew perished.
