Work is in fair, demand, and bushfelling is being cawied on ibriskly. There is a well-founded rumour afloat here that an enterprisinc storekeeper, who is well known 1 , ißtteWs^o^ td start a business fri the Livingston .township. Already a cite has been procured. ' Great satisfaction is expreßed amongst the inhabitant* of this place with regard to the local bodies in deciding upon the Vinegar Hill Bridge site, as being the best mott suitable for theconn^rj'a pioneers. Now the site has been Jeoidied upon, we hope soon to see operations commenced as a bridge across the Rapgitikei river at this place is very much needed. <
