All England v. Australians
(PKB VBEBS ASSOCIATION.) London, July 17. The second match between All England v. Australians opened at Lords today. The English team is as follows, Flowers, Peel, Wainswright, Maid, Lockwood, Jackson, Stoddart, McGregor, Gunn, Shrewsbury, and Maurice Head. Jarvis, Walker, Giffen, and Conningbain, are standing out of the Australian team. Tho Englishmen have lost three wickets for 188 runs. Jackson 91, Shrewsbury not out 4<f. There is fine weather for the match. The attendance today is large. The wicket is soft. The All England elftven, is captained by Stoddard. Gunn played tamely and Shrewsbury batted for an hour for ten runs. Turner's bowling being difficult to negociate. Jackson's leg hitting was superb. The fielding of the Australians was very loose and the first hundred runs wero scored in eighty, fivo uiiuutce.
