Reichstag has finally passed the Army Bill by 201 to 181. The Emperor in closing the session thanked the Reichstag for their patriotic action in passing the mea« sure. London, July 16. The surviving officers of H.M.S. Vie* tona are to be court martialled, the proceedings in connection with which will open on Monday. Both Houses of Parliament have adopted addresses to be presented to the Queen and thp Prince and Princess of Wales congratulating them ou the wedding of tbo Duke of York. At the actuaries' examination the following passed : — Part 1., second class — Messrs Elliott aud Galway (Wellington) ; Messrs Hollingworth, Paradise. Thodev, and Adams (Wellington). Part H., third class— Messrs Day and Muter (Wellington). At a stormy meeting of the Agency Exploration Company of Australasia, after a motion to reduce the capital by one-half had been defeated, a resolution was carried to wind up voluntarily. The New Zealand trnst and loan Company have declared a dividend of 4s 6d a share. Rome, July ] 6. The Italian Government has deaided to prosecute the Governor of the Banca Romana (whiah suspended papment a few months ago)— Baron Lavyarum and nine others who were connected witb the man* agemont of the institution for embezzling twenty-eight millions of lire, the funds of tbe bank, and forging and uttering the bauk's notes. Nkw Yobk, July 15. The Chicago Exhibition has been closed on Sundays, on the ground that it does not pay. The Kansas City National Bank has suspended payment. Its liabilities amount to a million dollars'
