The Direct Veto
(PEK PKESB ASSOCIATION.) Chbistchcbck, This Day. At a meeting held on the Square last Saturday evening, re Direot Veto, which was attended by 1200 people, the following resolution was carried :— (1), That this meeting heartily approves Sir Robert Stout's proposed amendment to the Licensing Act Bill, believing it to be consistent with the spirit of truo Liberalism.
