(PER PRKSS ASSOCIATION). Timarv, July 12. The runholders in the McKenzie country are becoming alarmed at the spread of rabbits and petitioned the County Council to form a Rabbit Board. The Council agreed to take steps to do so. It is stated 40,000 to 50,000 rabbits are killed per year between Pukaki and Tekapo rivers where three years ago there were none. Wellington, July 12. The Wellington Education Board has sent a circular to the School Committees in the District, asking whether advantage is taken of the provision of the Act respecting religious teaching in schools. If so the hours during which the schools are used and the denomination to which the instructors belong. Auckland. July 12 Mr W. J. Napier and Mr Adam Porter will contest the Auckland City against Messrs Cadmun Kees.
