Divorce Court.
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, July 10. In the Divorce Court this afternoon the case of Wigg v. Wigg was dealt with. The petitioner, Alice Maud Wigg, sought a dissolution of marriage I with Joseph Walter Wigg on the ground of cruelty and desertion. The evidence showed that the parties were married in Auckland in 1886; that the husband deserted the wife at Waikouiti in 1888, and that he is now living at Hastings with another woman. A decree nisi was granted. Dunedin, July 10. In tlie "Divorce Oourt to-Jay In t-lie case of Nicoll and Nicoll and MacNeil, the jury gave a verdict for £250 damages and a decree nisi was granted. The evidence showed that the corespondent travelled to and from Australia with respondent. Hearing rumours concerning his wife, the petitioner, who was proceeding to the heads, as he f requently did, instead of going returned to his own house late at night and found MacNeil there with his wife. A struggle ensued, MacNeil was kioked out and he left Dunedin a few days later. Costs were given against MacNeil, the allocation of damages and the wife's costs to stand over.
