London, July 9, At the wool sales competition is stronger, aud prioes are firmer, except for the best woolsThe total quantity catalogued up to date ia 207,000 bales, of which 190,600 bales have been sold. The English wheat market is weak, and the Continental depressed, while the American is cban^ia^ a lililo for Ifte better. For one cargo of Australasian wheat 288 6d has been offered, and another has been sold at 29. Tallow— Medium mutton, 28s ; beef, 27s 6d. Messrs Birkett, Sperling and Co., corn and flour factors, Mark Lane, have gone into voluntary liquidution
