London, July 5 In the match against Derbyshire the Australians have lost nine wickets for 404 runs. Negotiations are going on for a short tour of the Australian cricketerß in America on their way back. Derbyshire in the second innings made 224, and the Australians won bj an innings and 71 runs. No leas than twenty van loads of wedding presents have been received by the Royal couple. The Camperdown arrived at Malta after the collision with her foredeck only a foot above the water. Her watertight compartments alone saved her from following the Victoria to the bottom. Private letters received in England state that if the Edinborough bad not been smartly steered she would have rammed the Camperdown, and the Smspariel wonld have run into the Edinborough Fabis. July 6. The students, assisted by many rowdies and revolutionaries, renewed rioting outside the Chants' Hospital and Palace of St Germain. The police and oayalry repeatedly charged the mob, who retaliated with sticks and stones. The mob overturned tramcars and carriage?, and erected a barricade, which was stormed by the police aud cavalry. The residents in the city were in a greatly alarmed state and many shops were closed. The riot continued until midmght, when the troops were to a large extent eeccessful in restoring order. One policeman was killed, aud 100 of the mob were injured. The Prefect of Police has tendered his resignation.
London is gaily decorated with bunting in honour of the marriage of the Duke of York and Pnncew May, which will be celebrated to-morrow. Triumphal arches are erected in all directions, and great preparation? are being made to illuminate the city. Large crowds of visitors are nocking into London.
