The Recent Nayal Disaster
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, July 3. The survivors of tho warship Victoria consider the brave cud of Admiral Tryon largely condoned his error. The naval officers at Portsmouth declare that the officers of the Cainperdown, by hesitating to obey the signal, probably produced the collision. Officers of the squardron state that they are unable to understand why RearAdmiral Markham, on realising the danger, obeyed the signal at all. July 4. Some of the Victoria's officers consider that Admiral Tryon was suffering trom physical exhaustion. It is stated that Captain Bourke'a hair turned white during the collision. In answer to a question in the House of Commons to-day, Sir A. Kay.Shuttle. worth, Secretary to the Admiralty, stated that a court-martial would bo held at Malta immediately.
