Ci>ER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wbi,m>'oton. July 3. The Dnnedin Star's correspondent at Gore says a shocking football accident occurred there last Saturday. John Mnsspn, 23 years of age and unmarried, while playing in a scratch game collided i with another player. He went home ' complaining of feeling unwell, went to i bed and gradually sank, dying this morning. He never regained consciousness since Saturday night. The deceased was a son of Mr Masson, of the wellknown firm of Masson, Scott, & Bertram, engineer*, London,- arid was only three months in the colony.
