The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) has received from its London office the following telegram, dated June 2b"rd;— Frozen meats — Beef market weaker New Zealand beef, forequartera and hindquartors are worth 3\d and 4}d respectively. Lamb market weak. Prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase 5/, per Ib. Canterbury mutton steadier, others weak, Quotations unchanged since last telegram. TallowThere is a rather better demand, and a good Continental demand for lower and medium sorts. Fine mutton and good beef are worth 80s 8d and 28s 9d per cwt, respectively. June 25. Three months' bills are discounted at 21 per cent. The total quantity of wool catalogued up to date is 65,207 bales, of which J9.200 balos have been sold.
