Eight persons were killed and 80 injured. St. Pktrbsbubu. June 22 During a panic in a church near Mos cow 136 men and women were suffocated to doath on a staircase behind a fastened door. Twenty of the congregation were trampled to death, while a number ol others were killed by jumping from tht galleries. The panic was caused bj thieves raising a cry of tire, in order t<i cover their operations.
