At the wool sales there was strong competition, and largo selection. New Zealand wools were 5 per cent, below the May sales, but merinos remained firm at the opening rates. Australian brought from B|d to lid. The Queensland oranges, arriving by the Miowera at Vancouver, were in splendid condition, but the pineapples were too ripe. It is thonght possible to create a profitable fruit trade with Canada.
