Death of Sir William Fox
[Per Press Association. Auckland. June 23 Sir William Fox, who has been gradually getting worse for days post, died this afternoon in his 82nd year, on the anniversity of his wife's death. Sir George Grey has been visiting him of late, and called to day, but he was too ill to see him. His last public appearance was laying the foundation stone of the Salvavation Army Barracks on Queens Birthday. He founded the New Zealand Alliance, to which he contributed £100 a year, and his purse was ever open to every good work.
