Feilding Public School
_♦ A Committee meeting of the above was held yesterday. Present— Messrs Carthew (ia the Chair(, Worafold, Taylor, Parker, and Dr. Sorter. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The following correspondence was reFrom Mm Turner, the caretaker, requesting the Committee to pay. bet the sum of £o on account. The head master's report stated that the average attendance during tfie past qnartei was 251, with a total on the roll of 866, ■ • ■ , Messrs Worsfold and Parker, the visiting committee reported thai a. few alterations and improvements were required in the sohool buildings, also that the cleaning of the rooms was not satisfactory, and the fires were not lighied regularly. Proposed by Dr. Sorley, seconded by Mr Wonfold, that the Secretary write to Mrs Turner drawing her attention to the unsa^wfaotory w»y in' which her duties weire discharged. Carried, Proposed by Dr. Sorley, seconded by Mr Taylor, that the. visiting committee be empowered to expend the sum of 80/ in carrying out the suggested email alter*' tious. Carried. Propoied by Dr. Borley, seconded by Mr Taylor, that ; Mewra Worßfold and Parker be the visiting committee for the ensuing month. Carried. . Resolved, that Mrs Turner's letter be laid upon the table. The Committee then adiourned.
