THe Albu Concert Company
We hare been supplied with some interesting particulars of the career of these vocalists who open their Feilding season with a grand concert in the Assembly Kooms uext Saturday night. Miss Julie Alhu is the holder of the premier scholarship of the Royal College of Music; selected for this honor from 1650 competitors. Miss Rose Albu graduated with the highest honors obta innble in the Guildhall course. The young ladies next studied under the famous Jenny Lind. Their first appearance in public was made during a flying visit to their native city, Edinburgh, where their Scutch ballad singing created a Jurow. Their first London engagement was with Sims Reeves (at the Alexandra Palace), and the great tenor expressed himself as delighted with their magnificent soprano voices. Since then they have toured in Austria, Italy, France, and Spain. The Misses Albu bring with them Mr John Fuller, whose tenor voice is much admired iv London, and Mr £. Gunter, a brilliant young pianist.
