We had a very heavy gale hero on Friday last, which finished up with a heavy fall of snow which lasted all night. At daylight on Saturday, there was about eight inches of snow on the ground. It thawed on Saturday, but at night it came on again. In the Umotoi Block it prevented all bash work for three days. A largo tree was blown across the road in the township on Friday night I expect after some fatal accident happens, there will be some action taken to nave them cut down and removed. j
