The Chief Justice said the transaction between Mr and Mrs McDonald could not stand before the court, and the plaintiffs were entitled to satisfaction of their claim. Judgment was for the bank on nil points. The programme for the football tour, ns previously arranged, was agreed to by the other colonies, but the secretary of tiie N.Z. Unicn has written asking for two other matches to be arranged. As there will be 22 men, it is intended to play three matches per week if possible. Palmerston N , This Day. A curious omission was made in connection with the hotel licenses at the nnnunl meeting of the licensing committee hold last week.
