An application from Mr Satnuel [Palmer lot a licence lor "an a'cc6tam6d£tit>n house in the Pohangma was adiourned for Committee to visit the locality and ascertain whether a licensed house was needed in that portion of the district. No objection was made to the applicant. , Mr Hankine, of Palmers too, appeared in support of the pe|i^Ptea/\£ainsCtbe application, and "pointed* out that no licensed house was required in the locality, and that if granted would only be made use of by workmen temporarily engaged thereon the road work. jMr Biohmond said the petition was against a publicans' license, whereas only an accommodation license was applied for.
