NOTICES TO POACHERS.
I TO TUB EDITOR OF THK STAR. Sir, -In looking through your paper , one is struck by the number of notices i warning sportsmen oS the land. Now ) doa't you think that it is about time the i Acclimatisation Society put an end to the f farce of issuing licenses to sportsmen to amuse themselves with on the main roads, , or else come to some arrangements with ■ these " Lords of the earth," who seem to think that the Society have gone to all ; their trouble for the benefit of them and their frieuds, I should like very much ; to see you open a list and see how many f liberal-minded men there are in the did- . trict, who would not hunt down the licensed supporters of the Society like ) poachers, provided they were not attended i with dogs. Appologising for trespassing ■ on your valuable space. I am, etc , > Fair Play.
