There was a good muster of the Manchester Rifles on parade on Thursday Inst. After tho corps had been fallen in by Color- Sergeant Milson, Captain Kirton referred in feoling language to the death of young Donald Clarke, who hud been formerly a member of the Corp.*. Captain Kirton proposed, and Sergeant Pethcrick seconded —Tlir.t a loiter be srnt of condolence and sympathy with Mr A'i qus Clarke for the loss of liis son, who was drowned on Tuesday last, when crossing the Apiti ford of the Oroui river. This was carried nnaniaiously. Leut Burlaee tht^n took charge of tho corps, and put the mca through tho mnmi.il They were then marched out into the Kimbolton road, where thoy were diil'eJ in company movements by Captain Kirton, and (he t-word baronet exercise by Lieut Bray. The parade was thvn dismissed.
