— ♦ (PER FHESS ASSOCIATION.) Sydney, May 9. The forty-fourth annual report of the Australian Mutual Provident Society was issued to day. The new business of the year 1892 i» represented by 12,585 policies, •ssurins 48,791,221. »nJ .yielding an annual premium value of £126,013 19s 6d. Claims by death amount to £429,470, being much less than the amount paid for the preyious year. The total annual revenue is £'2,990,123 5s Id and accumulated tnnds, which have been increased during the year by £796,411 18s lid, now araonut to £11,828,448 8s lid. The report of the actuary gives most complete information respecting the society's business. The policy liabilities hive been valued on the same stringent lmis as was emploj-ed last year. Special extra reserves amounting to £150,011 have been made. The values of office premises have been written down by £19,680 19s 2d, and a sum ot £61,500 has been set aside as an additional reserve for passible depreciation ot mortgage securities. Notwithstanding these precautionary measures, however, the cash surplus available for division among members amounts to £504,261 5s lid, which will provide rerersionary bonuses amounting to about £1,030,000.
