Feilding R.M. Court

THIS DAY. (Before Mr. Brabant, R.M.) J. W. Cridland y. Samuel Daw ; claim £'o"5 12s for wages due. Mr Reade for the plaintiff. Judgment was for plaintiff for the amount claimed, with 80s costs of court, and i"2 2s solicitors' fee. 11. F. Jannings y. 11. Ktaveneaux ; claim £6 7s 7d on a judgment summons. Mr Richmond for the plaintiff. There was no appearance of the defendant, who wa3 ordered to pay tho amount to tho Clerk of the Court within three days, or m default of payment seven days imprisonment in Wanganui gaol. A. K. Blundell charged Joseph Guy with a breach of the Sheep Act, in having sheep infected with lico on his premises on the 12th of April last. Defendant pleaded guilty and was fined 20s, with 7s costs of court. The same plaintiff also charged Donald McKenzie and David Reid with offering sheep infected with lice for sale in the Feilding saleyards on the 14th of April last. Defendants pleaded guilty, and were fined 40s, with 7s costs of court, in each instance. J. 11. Stevens charged C. Fankhausen with neglecting to register the birth of « fomale child on tho 23rd of January last. 1 >efendant said he registered the birth at Pemberton with Mr Lay. Mr Stoyens said the defendant appeared to have been misled by Mr Lay. His Worship stated that the Court would record a conviction but without any penalty attached thore to. Tho court then adjourned.
