THE M AKING CREAMERY.
TO THE EDITOR OF TUB STAR, Sir, —I really cannot let the occasion pass of calling the attention of the public to the outrageously liberal terms that Mr Corpe has offered the settlers. Just to think ! 3d per gallon and, " ttreat Scott " the skim milk to be returned free ; but that is not enough, actually ©very settler is to have the use of his own cans ,free. And all these benefits for what ? As far I can see, to keep butter down to 7d, " as I understand Mr Corpe it means, 7d," and the rest to go into Mr Oorpe's' pocket. All I can say to such benefactors is " Qet out." We have had a pretty good dose of middle- men surely we can, do without jet another, to drain the settlers. Why not start a factory as a company and have 3£ pot gallon, and share the profits. There seems plenty of margin between; Mr Corpe's 6d and the lOd per lb that other factories are getting. lam, &c, F. J. Hedob.
