Pohangina Road Board Elections

The poll for the election of representa* tires for Nos. 1 and 3 Words of the above Road Board resulted in both the old members being defeated. The voting was as follows : — No. 1 Ward — J. G. Browne, 28 ; Lucas, 26. Majorty for Browne, 2. No. 3 Ward.— Bell, 11 ; Richards, 8. Majority for Bell, 3. The defeat of Mr Lucas, and of Mr Richards, may be taken as an indication that tho rateoaycrs were not satisGed with the actions of the Board since its inception. Wo congratulate tho new members on their election.
