As was anticipated, great interest /fas displayed on the occasion of the annual meeting of householders to receire the report of the outgoing school, committee, and to elect a new one. Mr Sanders, the retiring chairman, took the chair at the general meeting: During 'ise commit* tec's term of office- the sebboNhouse iiid been painted within and without^ and £he sitting accommodation increased. The average of the roll numbers- wasi2llf(|Qo boys and 114 girls), the highest quarter being 217P The average/attendance was 140 (boys 64, girls 76).* The balancesheet being read, showed funds Jtn> hand to be L5 8s B|d. The report and balance sheet : having ? been passed, : nQminatipjis were received by the chairman for the new committee.' There Were fifteein-can-didates. The seven returned wejff : Messrs Simmer, Ingram, Potta^C^Tep, Maunder, Freeman, and Ifrs Grammar., At the first meeting, whiehwaa: held immediately after,; Mr J. Eimmerj t waß chosen chairman and treasureryand Mr Ingram secretary. There were Upwards of sixty householders in the room, Ihe largest meeting for ' the < pnrpota named that we have ever -held.
