MAKINO.
I Tho iannual general meeting of householders to receive the yearly report and J elect the ~new%>mmittee, was held in the Makino Road; School-room on Monday ) night. There were only eleven persons present. Mr Flavell was yoted to (he chair. After the notice calling the meeting had been read the chairman called on the secretary to read the report and balance sheet, which were adopted. The election of seven persons to form a committee was then proceeded with, when the following names were^rop93ed..an.d.BecoQded^*iz., ■ Messrs • Fryv Maveli;"^eTr^wel(siid, Knowles, Morrison, Berry , t Humphries, and Newell. 1 A poll was. .taken, aijd/Mr Black appointed scrutineer; when the ' following- word jjfoy, Sutherland," Humphries, and Newell.- • The commit* ' tee then met, and Mr Fry was elected | chairman. Mr Sutherland being appointed secretary to the committee. [ Mr Black read, the report #f/he library f comihitteel'and itJwafe :p*op?#i, BQO&ided, ' and' carried, that the school committee 1 be the library committee, for the present ' year ; and it was proposed, seconded, and carried . unanimously,, that Mr Fry be chairman; treasurer, andieeretary So the 1 committee. ■ .. ; • i: f, t - v
