The Australian Financial Crisis

(PEK PBESS ASSOCIATION,) Sydney, April 23. The run on the New South Wales Savings Bank continued on Saturday, though in a less degree than on the previous day. Desmond, a New Zealander, has been arrested for disfiguring the Government proclamation posted on the bank, by adding the words ' going bung.' A slight run was made on the Com. niercial Banking Company and the Bank of New South Wales, but matters quietened down considerably before the closing hour arrived, and a large amount was redeposited in the Savings Bank.
