The wool market is brisk, and the ad- j vance in prices obtained on the opening day is fully maintained. The consignment of 650 cases of apples by the Aorangi brought from 7s to 14s per case. April 9. Tbo amount of wool catalogued to date is 54,800 bales. There is a bnsk demand at firm prices, principally on the part of Continental buyers, who favour medium wools very strongly. English manufacturers are also buying treely. New South Wales wool is fetching 9;Jd to Is 74d, according to class.
