The secretary suggested that a small committee of, sa3\ two town members of the board should be appointed to consider and report as to what sections it would be to the board's best interest to reserve. It was ultimately decided that Mr Wiscey and ihe secretary be a committee for tho purpose. Some discussion took place as to where and how the land should be disposed of, and it was decided the auction should be held at Feilding under the supervision of Mr Baker. The Chairman said he thought they should assist ihe settlers on this block to some extent, as the settl-rs in question had always acted in a dear und business-like way to the board, and had had no con cessions whatever allowed them. Mr tiommeryille was of the same opinion, and moved that the >urn of £'150 be voted tor formmu and metalling the Pohanftina maiu road through the town* ship, and tliat Mr Dray bo empowered to expend the money to tho best advan» tajje.
