At the Belfast demonstration a copy of tbo Howe RuJe Bill was torn to shreds and burned, the ashes being scattered and trampled under foot, This took place before a RrandsUiul, in the presence of Mr Bal four, who appeared delighted at the vigour of the proceedings. The Times' correspondent wires that the Belfast procession showed unexampled enthusiasm. It included I'ublin students aud professors and the Young Men's Christian Association and Unionist Club. The procession took four hours to pass a given point. April 5. It is estimated that at l<-ast 80,000 people, of all classes and creeds, marched in procession at Belfast to-day. The greatest enthusiasm was displayed, and not a single policeman was engaged, so ordcrlj was the procession. Immense crowds viewed the procession, and quite 200,000 visitors were present. The attendance would hare been greater, but the railways were unable to convey more.
