«. . (I'ER PRESS ASSOCIATION). Dunedin, March 29. The three-mile handicap arranged by the Dunedin Amateur Athletic Society to give \V. Lurke a chance of cutting down the record before retiring, was run again tonight. The conditions were more favourable, as the track was in a slightly better order, and there was no wind. Hislop, 270 yds was the only other starter, and he retired after going about two miles. Burke reeled oil the three miles in 15min 27 l-sthsec. Two other watches made it 27sec exact. Burkes time for the half-mile was 2miu 16sec ; mile, 4mm 56 l-sthsec.
