In a Trance, or What ?
A remarkable c;i?e is reported from Toledo, Ohio. Clay G. Hopper, a young man belonging 1 to the State, was supposed to have died on January 1, and arrangements were made i'or his burial. There were some in dications about the body which caused the parents to delay burial, and the boy was taken out or the coffin and placed on a mattress. Ten days afterwards, his ri»h^ hand opened, nnd on the evening of January 11 his heart commenced to flutter, while his breast heaved up nnd down, nnd ih • eves opened and closed. Brandy was rubbed all over his bod}-, and frequently applied to his lips. In the streets of Toledo that afternoon it was reported that he had so far recovered as to be fible to converse about, his experiences, but that was untrue, the attending doctors contenting themselves with say in ir that the boy was olive. Flis parents spent nearly all their time in prayer. They are prominent members of St Paul's Methodist Church, which is a leading one in the env. 'I he supposed deceased was a leader of the Kpworth League in the city, ami at all tho Protostniit churches "oh Sunday a special prayer was offered for the }'onnjr man. The case is regarded as wonderful, and the physicians are mystified. Nearly all the doctors who saw him between .h-nuury 1 and 10 did not hesitate to pronounce the boy dead.
