Installation of President Cleveland
(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Washington, March o. Mr Glover Cleveland, who was elected President on November 9tb, 1892, was jesterduy installed os President for the ensuing term of four years. In his inaugural address President Cleveland insists upon (lie rir.-il importance of a sound and stable currency. Ho hopes for prudent remedial legislation- In <be meanwhile the Executive will me all powers to maintain the national credit and avert disaster. He deprecates the system of bounties and subsidies anJ the reckless pension list, which he considers the bane of a Republican insliuition The country must also, he thinks, rectify the wrongs of the tariff— a matter it hick, though done wisely, must be without vindictiveness. He hints that the Government will grapple wilh the vast intrigues of the commercial " rings" and "corners," which he believes nre inimical to the welfare of the people The President does not refer to (he difficulty in Hawaii. Fully 300.0U0 people were present at the ceremony, and remarkable enthusiasm was displayed.
