The following are the handicaps tor * Lieut. Kirron's and Mr Magee's medals, -j to be fired for on Wednesday, March 8 :— Sergt Saywel^ Corpl Saywell, Vols Scott ' and Stevens, scratch ; Vol Parker, 2 ( points ; Vols T. Evans and J. Evans, 4; ' Sergt Petherick and Corpl Aitken, 6; Vols Robinson, Pleasants, Dougherty and G. Lethbridge, 12. The shooting committee will meet ai Mr G. Savwell's this evening at eight o'clock, to arrange for matches with the Marton Royals and the Mauawatu Rifle Club. The return match between the ManChester Rifles and Rangitikei Cavalry took place at Feilding on Saturday last, tho ' former winning by 180 points. The con- • ditions were — live shots at each range . with the rifle and also five with the car- : bine. After the match tbe visitors were entertained at dinner at Mrs Hastie's Hotel.
