Mr Gladstone, replying to a deputation on the eight hours' question, said that until the miners were unanimous there wonld be little cbance of Parliament legalising compulsory limitation of the hours of labor. Lord Howard de Walden is suing for divorce from bis wife. Two co-respond-ents are joined in the suit. Lady de Walden, on her part, applies for judical separation on the grounds of gross cruelty, drunkenness, and personal assaults. The evidence is expected to be very sensational.
