(PEB PBKBB ASSOCIATION.) London February 8. Oats, fine quality, average 28s ; common sorts, 245 ; beans, 85s ; peas, 80. At the Vrool sale greasy and medium lambs is selling well, and other sorts are steady. , The batter market is depressed, being over supplied. Wkllikgton, February 10. The third wool sale for this season was held to-day. About 1500 bales were catalogued, of Which a good proportion was lambs' wool, and about two-thirds of the lots offered were sold. Both Home and local buyers were well represented, and bidding, especially for the better class of wool, was spirited. For croßSbred, bost quality, prices ruled slightly is vendor's favour, but for faulty bushstaicedand dingy wools there was no improvement to record. Fine orossbred realised up to Bd, course do. from 6d to 7£d, lambs' wool up to B|d, other qualities from 6d to 7d.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercan* tile Agency Company, Limited, has re< ceived ihe following cable from its Lon. don office, dated 7th inst. :— Wool— The 1 sales progress firmly. Since the opening of the sales greasy and scoured super and fine greasy cross-bred are £d per Ib higher. Fine and medium washed and scoured cross-bred and medium greasy cross-bred are par to £d per Ib higher. Superior greasy lambs — market very firm, special demand. Other descriptions unchanged. The total quantity catalogued to date is 181,000 bales.
